O2 sensor issue
« on: December 09, 2017, 06:25:13 PM »
I was wondering if you install an aftermarket exhaust system, (i.e. Cobra Speedster Longs) on your Strat, (which BTW mine is a 2012 model) do you need to re-install the O2 sensor, or can it be blocked off ?  ???

Reason being is that I am getting backfire and popping on deceleration and between shifting, so I picked up a Cobra Fi2000R fuel mgmt device, and it says there are different models depending on whether or not you are going to continue to use the O2 sensor.

Your choice.

I think most remove the o2 sensor from the equation once they add fuel management, I know that's what Power Commander recommends and what I did. I've got the PC III USB and once that was paired up with Ivan's reflash and map I never looked back.
