Title: LED accent lights
Post by: coos14 on March 08, 2013, 06:05:42 pm
I have a question and need some suggestions & guidance?  I purchase some Joe Florida LED Accents Lights Multi-Color and need help with placment under the tank. I have 2 strips for the rear, 1 for under the headlight, 1 for in the coil pack cover and 2 for under the tank.
The question is should I pull the tank and place them in behind on the inner tank wall or just leave the tank on and place them under the tank on the inner edge. After seeing Swomack's bike lite up i had to have them...
All suggests welcome?
One more thing, I have a full tank of fuel...

Thanks for the kind words brother.
I mounted my LED's behind my side covers pointing them all the way around and it worked great.
I also mounted them in my front fender on both sides, my underside of my floorboards and on the bar that holds my hardbags on my sled.
I still have many LED pods left and might be adding more in a few other locations.
I can also change the colors.
I can go white, red or blue.
Red looks real cool as well IMO.

I added mine to the side covers too, seem to be the best spot to light up the motor and atached some to the side bag mounts. Looking to add a couple more in the future.

I do have the side covers off and there is plenty of room in there. I still have a few days before I want to do this. Thanks for all the help so far. My lights are in a strip form. Just under 1/2" wide and 1/8 " thick so they will hide real easy. Length varys to what you want. Once done I will post pictures.

I have done most of my bike in Joe Florida led lights. They do look amazing in the dark. As for lights under the tank , I didn,t remove the tank, all I did was use the 3m tape that it came with and put silicon on the back of all my led lights . hope this helped you

Same install techniques for me, but I went with the LED Glow brand
