Tire Replacement
« on: May 09, 2019, 07:06:48 am »
So, it looks like I need o replace my front tire. For the guys that have had their Strats or awhile, what is he preferred tire of choice? What have you found that works well on our bikes? Has anyone opted for a different size?

I've noticed that some have put a 240 on the rear. Any fitment issues with a 240? Thanks!

    I am using Raider wheels and with a little trim on the pulley side front front of the back fender...240 fits fine. I don’t think the OEM wheel will accommodate a tire that wide

    Cool! I was looking at yoour pics and have two questions;
    1. Where did you get your front fender?
    2. What are your thoughts on using the Raider wheels?

    My pictures don’t show my latest 240 tire update. I could have went with just the raider wheel on the front, but kinda OCD about some things so wanted the wheels to match although you can’t see much of the back one.
    If you are going to use the rear Raider wheel, you have limited tire sizes.
    I ran a 200 tire for a while but it is just too narrow to fit the rear wheel properly.

    The front Raider wheel does change the handling a bit but not in a negative way. The Strat handles great either way to me. Just a bit “heavier” with the front raider wheel. The back doesn’t change much although with the 240 it really handles great and cornering is much improved over the narrower tire I was running.

    My front fender is custom made.
