20w50 valvoline motorcycle oil and zero problems. $2.99 a quart I might also add.

Wow, where do you buy it for the price?

Was using Rotella and decided to use a syn in my 2010 S Deluxe.. Think it was Mobil 1.. the engine really balked at this.. made a lot of noise.. switched to Lucas semi 20/50 and it's not nearly as noisy as it was, actually seems quieter than it was when using the Rotella..

    I ran
lucas semi my past couple of changes and it seemed to work well.  The price was decent too.

I recently got a good deal on  a couple cases of yamalube so I'm back to that for a while.

Unless I can find a good deal on  something better, I may just stay with this Lucas oil for awhile.. I was reading someplace that Yamaha only requires the filter to be changed every other oil change. ??? Having a hard time with that one.. I always change the filter with the oil.

    Perhaps in your owner's manual?

Me too.  I change it every time even though it is not required.  It's only a few dollars and it has the potential to save money down the road.
