DELUXE FAIRING INSTRUCTIONS
« on: January 10, 2015, 11:35:10 AM »
Hello Everyone - Does anybody have a copy of the fairing installation instructions or a link on the net where I can download?  I have exhausted all of my searching in trying to find these. For starters I need to know exactly what hardware is included in the kit.  Thanks

CUDACRAZY looked for my copies  but couldn't  find.
Try your yamaha dealer they should be able to make copies for you.

If you look at the parts breakdown on several sights like bike bandit or some of the Yamaha dealers, you should be able to figure it out.

Scraper, can I use this Outer Cowling Bracket Kit to repair my 2010 fairing after the tabs broke?
I was about to tackle an ABS plastic repair on them tomorrow. I will hold off and buy these brackets if that is the purpose of them.

I think that is what they are for. I actually didn't use the kit when I put my fairing on last year. I made the brackets myself and epoxied themon to the new fairing per other's instructions. Good so far...

Thanks for the instructions, exactly what I am looking for.  Can anyone please tell me the purpose of the "Outer Cowling Bracket Kit" if the unit is already assembled?  Was there a recall or is it just a preference?

For reference, I recently purchased a new 2014 Strat Deluxe that was released from an inventory from a dealership that went bankrupt.  The fairing was no where to be found and I got the bike at a huge discount for this reason.  A month later I get a call that the new dealership found the fairing unexpectedly and they shipped it to me.  Fairing, sound system, GPS, brackets, etc.... Still has all the plastic wrap and bubble wrap like the day it arrived at the dealership years ago.  They sent me a box of misc parts to assemble the unit with some duplicates (e.g. 3 fork brackets), some unnecessary (e.g. extra set of mirrors, extra set of grips, extra headlight beauty rim), some missing (e.g. already discovering I don't have all the bolts), but no instructions.
