Custom Dyamics "Dynamic Rings"
« on: March 09, 2015, 05:27:59 pm »
Picked these up just recently, the install was very straight forward, similar to the Roadliner "specific" kit they offer for the rear that's already on my bike. It involved gentle prying out the reflector affixing the LED "Dynamic Rings" to the front of it with a decent glue, and re gluing the lens back to one piece .  I ended up removing the socket in the Turn Signal and just doing a hard wire, the "socket" that comes with it is for the Harley bulb and not the Liner twins. Over all I think the installation was fairly easy (after having done the rears) and the white running lights add a lot of visibility to the bike. I'll post a few pictures below. I'm quite happy with them.

Hey Cheetah, they look great!  Tell me more about the visibility for you the rider... how's your view on the road in dark situations.  I find the stock headlight sucks bad!  I was thinking of going this route, and wondered if they help allot?!?

    ???

Here is a more realistic photo during the day. I find with the led pointed down in the housing versus how it would naturally fit in as a 9006 you get a full factory beam, I'd say it's about 85% of an 6k HID This is a 3200 Lumen bulb according to the manufacturer. It definitely throws a good beam, I think a lot of people end up having issues because they just stick the bulb in how it fits naturally, which would point the burner at the top left of the reflector and produce a horrible beam. It definitely grabs more attention during the day as well. This along with the Custome Dynamics R-T-B style rears help a lot.. Now to get a few more things done :P

Absolute truth and the reason that I generally dislike using LED bulbs in stock reflector housings.

We solved this by aiming the burner down at the highbeam tube and it make a perfect spread across the factory housing.

How do you "aim it down"?  Aren't they notched to only fit in one way??

The "New Brights" kit I purchased , the lock pins aren't the same full blade as they are on a standard 9006, and the liners headlight mount has a lot of play to it as well, stuck the first of the three in turned it just slightly so the other 2 lined up and locked the headlight bulb in. They make it so it can be clocked in a different fashion if need be it seems.

these can be found on Amazon for around $22 each.
lm just throwing this out there for future reference.  I've always thought the 9006 bulb was lame.  I only use the HIR2 9012. Awesome white color and bright. Just a little trimming on the tabs on the bulb base and it fits in place of the 9006.
