Aftermarket suggestions for new owner
« on: April 30, 2017, 12:38:14 am »
Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum but I know how these things work as I have been a member of two other forums over the years having owned both a Suzuki M109R and Honda VTX 1800.

I recently bought a 2008 Stratoliner Deluxe (white) with only 8300 miles, lots of extras and a Yamaha trailer to pull behind it.

The whole set up is sweet and I have been doing a ton of research on extras I would like to add ASAP giving it my own flair but I still am ignorant on a lot of the details.  (Anyone who has been on a forum and has never owned the bike before can relate I'm sure).

There are a couple of questions that I have that concerning the first order of business in things I want to update.

First, is lower led fairings.  I think many of you are familiar with JTD cycle parts.  My main question is do they have these available in colors that match your bike?

It seems black is an easy color to get aftermarket parts for but, as I said, this is white (the metalic pearly colored yamaha white)

Secondly, I want to add a set of passing lights and I am needing recommendations of where and what to buy including the lights and the hardware and best value and company to purchase from.

I apologize for the lengthy post but it is an introduction and a humble request for the help of those who are more informed than myself regarding this bike!

I am looking to many happy miles on this thing!  Thanks for your help and answers in advance!

i know it's a little old now ... but for what its worth I purchased a set of the JTD lowers.
    they only come in black.
    easy guy to work with.

my only issue is the aftermarket pipe i have touches.  I've trimmed as much as I could, but still no luck, so i can't comment on how they are installed.  I'm starting to wonder if my Yamaha engine guard is actually bent.

So what your saying is you have a 2008 Stratoliner, Not A Deluxe because the Stratoliner Deluxe didn't come out until 2010.

With that said did you turn your Stratoliner into a Deluxe?

    Do you have any pictures?

As elastin750 stated they only come in black! But if you want to see what they look like in white you can look at my profile pics. I have the Yamaha big bar with Freedom duals and no rubbing anywhere. I also purchased them with the speaker pods and installed 6-1/2' JL audio subs.
