I have both. A 9 in.  light tint Clearview and 10 in. black Cee Bailey's. I like the wind blockage of the 9 in. but looks of the 10 in. is just so good.

Mind posting up some pics for comparison?  I don't think I'm interested in a 10 in windshield for sake of looks, but I think an 8 in would put me right in the zone to push that buffeting up out of eye level.

re: clearview, from what some of you guys are saying this is probably a company I wouldn't do business with.  When it comes to business, communication and timeliness are almost as important to me as the product itself.  It's a direct reflection of your professionalism.  If they can't be bothered to communicate with me or to ship and deliver their product as advertised, then I can't be bothered to give them my hard earned money.

Just ordered my 8" Black windscreen from Cee Bailey's.  Should be here in couple of weeks.  Can't wait to see how much of the wind will be deverted from me when headed into the wind.

I think I'm about to do the same thing.  Their tinted 8" windshields look like just the thing.

best of luck, hope Cee Bailey is better dealing with, but I still like the recurve of my Clearview Shield.  Sorry they don't have the best in Customer Service, but I dig their product!

Its been so long, I forgot what Clearview I ordered.   ;D.    I got the recurved , "light tint" (because Im always riding at night, but still wanted it to look cool).

Oh yeah, heres my printed reciept.....I got the 8" w/recurve  (lt. Grey tint)  Apr 20th 2012.  ups ground, $127.65

 Man, I cant wait.

Im 5'10, and like to look over the shield.  Is the 8" a good fit?

I'm right around your height, 5'10" and I have the 8" dark Clearview with recurve and love it.  I tend to slouch a little when I ride, and if I force myself upright, I can definately feel a difference in the turbulence, so I'd say the 8" is a good fit for us...

Im 5 6 and the clearview 8 was perfect. I seem to slouch as well but w the touring bar Im comfortable as all get out. Wind is minimal and pleasant.

Clearview just pulled their money from my account, so that means they have begun production.     (Ordered Apr 20th)

Your post made me curious so I checked out my situation. I ordered on 4/6...they took my money on 5/3...and I'm still waiting...and waiting...and waiting. I forgot I ordered 2 shields, an 8" dark tint and a 9.5" medium tint. I'm hopeful the 8" shield will work out best.

As we get older we tend to get shorter...by the time Clearview sends my shield the stock shield might be tall enough....

Thanks, Bud.  It sounds like a match.  Sometimes I get it right on the first try.

I ordered a tinted Cee Bailey's 8" windshield on Friday.  Hope it gets here soon.  Took the Strat for a hundred miler or so on Saturday and the wind just about beat me to death.
