list of who had 3rd gear problems

does anyone have a list of 3rd gear failurs on strats. roadliners from 2008 -2010 or more. i need to find and copy all failurs of 3rd. gear . to prove to yamaha corp.. i have this isiu and think they should pay for it. i only have less than 18000 miles on bike. i have found only 2 such failurs so far and copyed them to send to yamaha. all help would be very helpfull.

    I had the third gear issue and was covered by the YES warranty.

    I was hoping at 19k I would be safe but some say at 25k they had a problem. I have a 2013, did the new slipper clutch help or do you think anything was changed in the transmission on the later year bikes? Sounds like very few have a problem but difficult to tell the true numbers. Good luck turtleman.

    Yamaha Corp is very aware of the third gear problems trust me.

    They should cover the issue without and issues.

    I had my third gear and lifters replaced on both my 2008 Raider & my 2010 Deluxe on Yamaha's dime.
