Gas Gauge Intermittent
« on: April 29, 2011, 02:39:00 PM »
It's still under warranty, so I will take it in to be looked at, but I have noticed lately that my fuel gauge stops working.  When I power on the bike, all the gauges jump to the right then reset to their working value.  The fuel gauge has stopped doing this all together.  It has taken to just lying there on "E".  Then I turn the key off, then back on again (sometimes it takes a few times) and it will slowly rise to the fuel level.

Am I nuts, isn't that gauge supposed to reset itself when you power the bike on like the rest of them, or am I looking for something that was never there?

My gauge seems to be working great on my Deluxe but I did have the same issue that your having with my Raider.  My dealer replaced it and it worked great after the fix.
