What problems will I have if I replace A 190/60R17 with a 200/55R17 on my 2010 stratoliner delux.I have 6700 miles and the front tire is dipping on the left side realy bad. I was told that air pressure caused it but the pressure was within 2 psi of the bike rating

You will have no problems at all. I bet half the liners on the road today are riding on a that size tire.
Not only will you have no problems but many of the tires in that size are better tires than the stones and dunlopa that are available in the 'correct ' size.

I missed this the first time I read your post. Always, always, always set the pressure based on what it says on the tires, -not- what it says in the user manual.

Earl, On that front tire make sure you are going with the psi stamped on the tire not what it says in the manual. I just went through what you are now (tire cupping) and I had to put a new front tire on (It was starting to have a very annoying wobble). The manual says 36 but the tire says 41...go with the 41.

Earl I run a 200/55-17 on mine and have no problems what so ever, actually it seems to ride a lot smoother of course that could be from the tire itself.

not trying to stray too far off topic, but when I am looking at tires I find one model from one manufacturer for the rear but not the front. how crazy or foolish is it to run two different mfg's tires on a bike like these ? example Michelin CommanderII can get the rear size of 200/55vr-17 but they dont make the front 130/70-18

No problems with mixing tires. The Commander II is a new design and not available for our front. I've seen several people say they are trying it with an Avon Cobra on front since the tires have a similar tread design.

Many Strat riders are using a Michelin Pilot Activ rear bias tire up front, & they're getting great mileage due to the thicker tread. I don't need tires yet (3000mi) but I'm going this route when I do, paired with the Commander II in the rear, Dyna Beads, & inflated with nitrogen.

Put Avon Cobra on front when stock Dunlop went at 8,000 miles. Put little over 14,000 on the Avon so put another one on over the winter. Rear tire have tried several Stock Dunlop 4,500 Avon Cobra 2 of average about 6,600 miles Parnilli Night dragon took it off at 4,500 could have gone another 1,000 Michelin Commander II have 2,100 miles still has the same tread depth as when I installed it.
