Newbie Strat Owner ....needs advice

Ok guys I bought a Gorgeous Stratoliner Deluxe........Have a few questions some ive researched just want the opinions of those that ride...so here goes...

Tires...best front and rear ..size and brand.... I get conflicting on Micheline Commander, Avon. others...

Thing Runs hott as a Scorched dog sprayed from a Black water hose in August.....Cant wear shorts at all gets too hot...from motor to pipes....thinking of wraping pipes then putting chrome back on.....it is stock exhaust from what I can tell  My Vulcan 1600 doesnt ride this hott ...I know its water cooled vs air.......

How do I tell if its got a lowering kit.....thing sits low and im 6'5" but was so much more comfortable than any other bike I tried....... and great power......But when I put the stand down I have to make sure and turn the wheel to the left or it will fall over..... and have to make sure its a level grade....

What trunks have you guys used ...I need something that will hold 2 full size Modulars..... THe Harley King looks big......but fitment....

What shocks...I am about 220 and the wife is about 160 but we seem to bottom easily...... might check preload but then again.... if it was lowered....I might be spinning my wheels so to speak...

Anyway I put a great little Kenwood amp with a hand controller I made a bracket for to mount to the rear mirror so everything is controlled from the thumb...its blue tooth and i used JBL speakers...sounds great even at 85........shhhh dont tell the wife...

Anyway thanks guys........I love this bike....

      The only people who get reasonable tire mileage on 'Liners either a) weigh under 175 lbs., or b) run a car tire on the back.  Otherwise, it eats tires, roughly 2 to 1 front to rear, mileage-wise.  Personally, I am not gonna lose weight nor run a car tire, so I purchased a tire changer machine to defray the expense.  It has just about paid for itself at this point.  Only Dunlop, Bridgestone, and Avon make our stock size for the rear.  OEM sizes are in the MOM.

       This tells me that someone probably did install a lowering kit, but failed to get a "shorty" kickstand to go with it.

       I run a Progressive, and I've been more or less satisfied.  (I have to keep it set pretty plush due to the crummy roads I ride.  So, it does still sometimes bottom out in curves when two-up.)  Other folks have reported good results with a heavier spring; IIRC they got it from Pacific Coast Star.

    so far as running hot - i had the same problem - everybody said it was "normal"
    turns out fuel pump was on its way out- not getting enough fuel will make it run VERY hot.
    much less hot after fuel pump replacement.
    have pump pressure checked and be sure its within specs

    Thanks for the advice...... As far as weight..... I was over 500 lbs in June 2014...... Went and had 80% of the old stomach removed and now down probably as far as I'm going to go...... So...... I'm good with thaf

    I am also looking for a set of passenger Yamaha floorboards.... Just wanted to match the front.... If not I'll go aftermarket for both..... Might be cheaper to get both

    Everyone pretty satisfied with these things it looks like...... Love the ride..... The feel..... The lines...... Doesn't look like anything else out here.....

    Might run the raider scoop..... Anyone doing that?

    michelin commander2. front size is exactly like oem size. rear is slighty different. longlasting rubber
    top trunk... the one that match stylewise is from old venture (xvz1300)
